Who I Am

I am a recent transplant to the city of Los Angeles from the Pacific Northwest (I don’t miss the rain that much) and have no issue with the freeways.
Last year, I retired my skateboards.

I have a boy and a girl tuxedo cat who tolerate each other.
I have discovered the benefits of green tea as opposed to coffee.

I can’t play first person shooters, and instead stick to car racing and sandbox games on my Xbox.

I love surrealist art and movies, with a focus on Rene Magritte, Sammy Slabbinck, David Lynch, and Frederico Fellini.
I love the desert – a little wary of the heat.

I am a huge fan and student of popular music history, but I still enjoy discovering new music and artists.

A Glimpse Into My Life

As one who thrives on a new challenge and experience, my life has been a collage of unique and entirely different projects. I have been lucky enough to train and work with some incredibly inspirational artists and mentors who reinforced my passion for creativity and learning.

From being on both sides of the glass as a signed artist and as a producer / engineer, to founding a startup that created interactive demo reels for actors, every day has been an exciting adventure of new ideas.

Since I closed my studio in 2012, I’ve had the opportunity to take an extended sabbatical and travel end to end across Canada and the United States, taking a tricked out laptop with me to record my inspiration.

I am an avid student of my interests, and have been using my time to delve deeper into music theory, synthesis, songwriting, and mixing technique. I’ve been tinkering with WordPress and themes, creating sites for myself and others. I’ve also had the amazing opportunity to volunteer as a graphic design for TYCI whilst honing my Photoshop skills.
Learning to create video games with Unity and Wwise is on my wishlist.

After closing the studio, I donated and sold much of my gear as I decided to take an extended sabbatical.
Since then, I have adopted a more “in the box” mobile setup and have delved further into the strengths of virtual instruments and plugins.
